You need to get rid of your boyfriend, though its been some weeks since you posted and you may well already have figured that out.

He is insecure and superficial, as are all empty pawns of manipulators who slavishly and uncritically follow fashion trends in the way you describe.

Personally I was never into brand names. My bf on the other hand is obsess with finding anything that's Donal Trump brand or Armani suits. He seriously tries to convince himself that people, particularly men, don't look at other peoples' feet yet he complains that I wear the same pair of sandals. LOL Anyways, unlike most women, I'm not a shoe or cloth shopper. In fact due to crazy size differences from one brand to another (no two size 8 are the same) I hate shopping for appeal. I tend to buy just three pair of pants and two shirts once a year. As for shoes, once every five to six years. There is something called reusing clothes and the invention of washing/drier machines.

I don't believe in fads either, just another bs from the fashion industry to make people feel bad for themselves over shallow, superficial ideologies. I think I have more important things to worry about than whether or not I'm "in" the fad. For God sakes I know children who go to sleep everyday hungry. I rather spend the extra money I saved from not buying designer goods on children who are starving in my own backyard. It's not much, but I'm doing more than these shallow d!*kheads are.
